Sunchokes

Wow! In a 2' square area I harvested about 2 cubic feet of sunchokes in this silty Liam soil. The white marks the beginning and end of where the ones in the box were harvested.

We're not counting on any of these plants to survive the winter and we want fruit to ripen sooner so all the leaves and flowers are removed.

Go hazelnuts

They are ready to pick. If the bluejays and squirels haven't beat you to it. They will ripen nicely indoors
